Andee showed up to race on Friday and so did the rain which forced the cancellation of Fridays show. Saturday evening was a complete turn around with Andee racing her number 41 mini to a fourth place finish in the heat race. She worked with an ill behaving car all night but still managed to line up in the fifth starting spot at feature time. With the drop of the green Andee worked her way to the front using the high groove on the second lap and began covering the field. Several laps later her her ride threw its chain and she was done for the night. A disappointing finish to a night that looked promising. She will make the needed repairs and looks forward to the July 3 show.

Karting season was finally under way until the rains arrived. The racers were able to get in two heats before the soaking. Look for the feature race to be held Sunday June 28!

Southwest Speedway Dickinson, ND
The West Dakota Mini Tour arrived in Dickinson Saturday night. Andee brought her back up car due to the catastrophic engine failure the past weekend. A large field of 17 competitors from North and South Dakota were on hand to run the high banked oval. In the heat Andee worked her way to a third place finish which got her into the trophy dash for the nights event. Starting last in the trophy dash she worked her way to a second place finish for the six lap shootout. A red flag on lap one of the 20 lap feature was brought out when two cars got upside down after the clean up, racing stayed green the rest of the event. Due to an inverted feature Andee started 12th but was running in second place by lap four. She held that position until three laps from the end when a South Dakota competitor managed to squeeze by her. Andee finished in third fro the night the highest finish for any North Dakota racer for the evening! |

Andee notched her first feature win of the 2009 season! Andee started the evening by winning her heat in the Seven Seas, ND Racing.com number 41 mini-sprint. The next race on the agenda was the trophy dash. Andee lined up in the second position on the start when a fellow competitor missed a shift the flag man called Andee for a jump. Track officials put her at the back of the pack on the restart but Andee used the remaining four laps to battle back towards the front for a third palce finish. Feature time had her lined up in the fourth position at the start. When the green flag dropped, Andee was off. She moved into the second place position at lap ten. She then set her sights on the first place runner and battled for six laps before she got around, then continued her run uncontested to the checkered flag! |

Andee started the '09 season this past Friday night at the Williston Basin Speedway with several new sponsors and a new car. Andee put her number #41 car to the front for a second place finish in her heat race. In the 10 lap dash she repeated and pulled off another second place finish. The feature race redraw for starting position put Andee in the fourth place starting spot. With 8 laps to go Andee tried a high side pass for fourth position and couldn't quite make it stick. She took the checkered flag in fifth position. A great show for the fans and new sponsors! |
